Have made some of the best steaks I've ever eaten, works great for fish too and even use it to pasteurize eggs for recipes that call for raw egg like homemade mayonnaise.

I can't compare to more expensive units as this is the only one I've ever used, but for the price point, I think it's an excellent choice to try out the sous vide cooking technique.

This was difficult at first to set up, have not yet gotten the wifi to work, but doing it manually works just as fast and works FINE, once you figure out how to do it…..the instructions are a little 'fuzzy", but now after using it few times, it is easy, and maintains water temp. Do wish it has an auto-OFF feature once the timer has run out, but it does beep to let you know to turn it off.

And the price was so much less than other units, yet in many online reviews, with ranked a close 2nd or 3rd best, at 1/2 the price or less.

I wanted to get a sous vide cooker but didn't want to invest 160+ for a name brand. This Inkbird is a great entry level sous vide, for the sale price. I purchased a 12qt container to use with it and they work pretty well together. The first one I got did have an issue with the display flickering, but the replacement works great. I hope this unit will last.

Pros:
-Accurate by 1 degree and you can adjust the offset.
-I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems to have good water circulation
-Can be controlled/monitored from anywhere
-Cooks evenly
-Seems to heat up fairly quick but I recommend starting with hot water.
-Keeps temp
-Can control manually or through the app

Cons:
-I had to do the wifi sync multiple times for the app to connect but it's stable once it does.
-App needs some work, especially the wifi syncing.
-I wouldn't really say this is a con, but the blade is made out of plastic, which I don't think will hinder the functionality or longevity but I figure I would at least mention it.

A little frustration, but still a decent deal

I have no complaint about how the product functions once you've got the time and temp set. The reason it only gets three stars is because setting the time and temperature can be a pain. Each time I go through and try and change anything, it looks like it defaults to the previous setting. I'm not really sure if that's what is happening either, or it only registers the new settings once the temperature goes up or down to the new setting you just input. It's just not very user friendly. Also, after reading the reviews of the app, it just didn't seem like it was worth using, especially since I'd be giving it relatively sensitive wifi password information. At the end of the day, I can always make it work, and I've made some really tasty and tender food with it, but it just seems like it should be easier.
